Spam control - poor design

I upgraded to mobile broadband wi-fi for internet connection.
I write here as the log-in webpage's help is convoluted.

There is a huge lot of spam coming to this number, and the only way to stop this is to follow these steps:
Open [URL Removed] and Click SUBSCRIBE (FREE MSG) 44617 to optout smsStop

This is *******. A user does not need to subscribe to anything to avoid spam. Spam is unsolicited in the first place and Vodacom should make it easy to stop it. Secondly, the login process using the modem is browser-based, and all the incoming messages are listed in the browser instance. It is a no-brainer to develop the interface so that users can delete the spam there, and control it from that window.

The basic design rule which has been around for decades is that the user must be in control, and it must be easy for users to do things. I certainly do not wish to register somewhere in order to stop spam.
