Sorted out one problem and created an accounting mess
After having had a positive experience in terms of sorting out my partner's high usage account which I had recently queried and put up on "Hellopeter" among other platforms (by "out of bundle" consultant Rudi-Jo) the agreement was to credit the current account an my partner would be in credit even by about ZAR 31.00. When checking her account online, the first screen which pops up literally screams that her account is in ARREARS - amount owing ZAR 14'119.44! When checking the details, this amount makes no sense as it is not clear where it this even comes from! Furthermore, I see a credit was passed for the amount agreed on, however, there are debits and credits going back and forth, however, the AGREED on balance is not ZAR 31.00 credit. Suddenly there is an amount of ZAR 560.30 due on 01.09.2017 .Furthermore, an amount of ZAR 1'723.86 on 02.10.2017 is suddenly due as well. When going to the statement page it says current amount due is ZAR 1'823.86??? How on earth does Vodacom get to those figures?
All that was required and confirmed by Vodacom was to pass a credit and set the account to ZERO (I am sure we are happy to forfeit the credit amount of ZAR 31.00 if need be). I have sent an e-mail to the previous consultant who helped with sorting out my data - not sure if he is the right person and the CEO Team at Vodacom. I expect an IMMEDIATE resolution of this mess as I am totally disappointed and disgusted that this accounting nightmare is still not sorted out! It cannot be that difficult to understand the difference between a credit and debit! Looking forward to a speedy resolution.
