Sorry your migration was cancelled

I have been a loyal Vodacom contract client since 1998 with various packages.

After being unemployed for some time, I eventually got a permanant position at a reputable company where I needed a higher airtime & data package and it was at the utmost importance for me.

I went into the Vodacom Vaal Mall branch on the 15th November 2016, where I asked for a migration to a higher package (Red advantage - 700 minutes & 1 gig data bundle) - The gentleman said that the migration would take effect as of the 1st December 2016. I received 2 sms's the 1st from Vodacom stating that the quotation was generated and the 2nd stated that the quotation was being processed with and order number 1- ********** 7675.

Receiving those 2 sms's I presumed that all was in order. (the service was excellant)

On the 1st of December 2016, I check my balance by smsing *111# and the balance I received was not correct. I phoned 111 and the lady advised me that the contract was loaded and that there might be a problem from their side in updating the profile.

On the 5th December I received an sms stating that my data was depleted. I checked my balance and the balance showed R199 airtime remaining and 0.00 data.

I immdediately contacted that the Call centre where I was told that I do not have any data, I tried explaining to the gentleman that it was impossible as I am on the red Advantage and that I could definitely not have used up a whole gig.

I then ended the call and drove through to the vodashop in vanderbijlpaark, where I was told that the migration was never loaded. I asked them to please load it as it was extremely important to me that the migration take place.

I then decided to go back the Vodacom Shop in the Vaal Mall to find out why the migration never took place.

I was told that it was cancelled by the Call centre and that they could not do anything about it.

I never once received an sms or a call from Vodacom saying that the migration did not go through. Both people I spoke to from the call centre informed me that the migration was successful.

This is unacceptable as I really needed to have these changes made from the 1st December 2016.

a very uhappy client
