#sonyxperiaXA #vodacom Bayside Centre not selling what they show you; inferior products instead. new phone faulty. also

#sonyxperiaXA #vodacom Mariette starts a new contract at Vodacom Bayside Centre 11 dec 2016 (from MTN). Mariette and son take a picture of a SONY XA Ultra phone on display. Vodacom staff shows the client, Mariette's son - a knowledgable, regular Sony phone owner - the Sony Xperia XA Ultra (the phone on display). Staff even search the ULTRA phone's features on computer. Multiple staff members emphasize he has a month in which to return the phone, as he leaves for overseas next day . They close the contract with Mariette. On 12 Dec he collects sealed box and departs overseas. In the box is wrong phone, the Sony Xperia XA. He knows how to use features and applications better than most people. He discovers this phone is far inferior to the one which he showed interest in, and which functions was demonstrated to him - with which he was happy. Which he thought they bought. On his return from abroad, on 7 January, he takes the inferior phone back to Vodacom, Bayside Centre. The journey starts. The Bayside manager admits they had the wrong phone on display. The client's mother, Mariette - even offers to upgrade and spend more, in order to correct Vodacom's misrepresentation. But they won't budge. They take a NEW SONY in for REPAIRS! Joke! Notification has arrived - that the phone is back. The NEW SONY has a 'freezing' problem. 'New software loaded.' To this day, it has still not arrived back at Vodacom, Bayside. A request for a stand-in phone was not granted. The parent is cancelling all contracts to the value of R1114 per month now. She will not change her mind. I am doing the same. The only advice we can offer - avoid.

Yes, there was contact, via an email shifting the blame onto the customer. My suggestion is:
I will assist in broadcasting this incident. I suggest the client make the case of false advertising against Vodacom in any case. This is quite incredible that you even receive an insult like this email. It is quite incredible that you are insulted by them denying you a replacement phone. It is quite incredible that you receive info that the phone is REPAIRED – a new Sony! – what an insult to you and SONY – and the phone is yet to be delivered to the store.
Go ahead please! This company is out to cheat – as they did with the adverti*****t in the glass showcase.
