Soft locked my phone and *********** service levels to resolve matter

Hi There

This compliant is in relation to Vodacom and their unbelievably *********** service levels. Over the weekend I bought a 10Gb data bundle which pushed my account over a voluntary call limit I had put in place 15 years ago. Vodacom the soft locked my account.

In essence there is no issue the fact that I was soft locked, my issues is in relation to the pathetic service thereafter. I then called Vodacom customer care to resolve the issue.

Day 1
Call 1 - The customer care consultant clearly had put the head set on his or her desk , I could hear people laughing in the background but no one answered.
Call 2 - The consultants system was offline.
Call 3 - The consultant said that they had removed the call limit and soft lock, this did not happen.
Call 4 - The consultant said that the lock and limit had been removed and they PROMISED to call m back to confirm in 1 hour. Nothing happened and no call back.
Call 5 - Once again I was promised that it was sorted and they would call back in an hour to confirm. Once again nothing was resolved and no call back.

Day 2
I then decided to go into the Vodacom shop in Ballito. I spent over 2 and a half hours there and between myself a 2 Vodacom consultant we must have made in excess of 15 calls to Vodacom customer care and head office. I made it clear that I was traveling for work and I use my phone for Uber to get to the airport and to meetings, I also needed urgent feedback as I work in investment management and I needed to be aware of markets, we manage client monies and therefore not having connectivity is not an option. The incompetencies ranged form numerous confirmations s that the issues were resolved to there is no way to resolve it to "I don't know how to resolve it". Eventually I gave up and went home.
Later that day I decided to once again call the call centre and not to put the phone down until the issues were resolved. I spent in excess of 4 hours on the phone. Some consultant plainly cut me off after a couple of minutes snd they could not sort it out. I then asked to speak to the shift manager, the first manager said that she had resolved the issue and in 20 minutes my phone would work, once again without any results. I then called back and could not reach the same shift manager and spoke to another shift manager who said they cannot resolve the issue now, it was likely to take a couple of days.

This has been the worst experience I have ever had. The people were not trained and did not know how to unlock my phone. Some plainly did not care.

I spent in excess of 9 hours trying to get this resolved as it is imperative for my business. This is still not sorted.

I am not sure what the process is to move but Vodacom has lost all faith.
