So frustrating (plus ya'll owe me a screen protector and several hours of my life back lol)

I took out a Vodacom contract 2 weeks ago, got my device and the contract wasn't using my original number like I had initially asked the sales person when we confirmed the contract. (I have a prepaid vodacom number i have been using for years so didn't want to change my number) I have phoned, spoken to Vodacom reps, and apparently the only thing that could be done is to cancel the contract, give the device back and then start a new contract with a new device, which just seems wasteful and inefficient to me but go off, i guess. I'd already put a screen protector on the phone so have already spent money on this particular device as well. I went into the Vodacom Cresta branch yesterday, they couldn't help because apparently there's literally no communication between the folks at the physical stores and the online sales people (again, incredibly inefficient for when problems arise, and demoralizing for both customers and staff). They cancelled my contract and told me to await a call. I don't have a backup phone and can't do without one so i asked that when i give back the device, that they have the new one for me ready for me immediately (so a swop). Even if we arrange drop off/pick up to be at a Vodacom branch where one can do the swop at the same time. I phoned aftersales care, and the guy was incredibly unhelpful, and when i asked to speak to a manager or SOMEONE who could help, he said that they'd just tell me the same thing. This issue was caused by Vodacom, and i don't see why i should be further inconvenienced by this quite frankly. it's actually just trash.

yup, because apparently that was the only option i had. seriously, your guys' systems are inefficient and restrictive. if your employees even wanted to be helpful, they can't do anything because your system doesn't allow for it. lame as hell
