So d************ with you!

You are supposed to remain professional at all times.I have been a Vodacom customer for years. My first phone was a Vodacom phone. I changed networks a few years later because I got a new phone as a gift and I ran under another network provider but, I have remained loyal and returned to the Vodacom service not long after because I was happy with the service and it felt like "home". I preferred Vodacom.

But now I'm honestly disappointed guys. What's going on?

These last few months have been filled with hiccups but today's situation takes the cake.

I bought a 30 day data bundle using my Talking Points. (100mb for 100 points where 1 point is earned for every R10,00 spent). I therefore had to spend one thousand Rands on airtime in order to change my points over to 100mb. (!!!)

I then bought a daily data bundle in order to save on my monthly data as it cost me more in terms of Rand value and I needed to browse the internet and would obviously do so as 'cheaply' as possible.

So there I was, on the net.

I decided to check my balance to ensure that I do not dip into my monthly data bundle as I no longer receive data warning messages from Vodacom. It can be said that Vodacom sends their customers messages when their data is about to be depleted but this is not the case with me, a loyal Vodacom customer. False advertising?

Upon checking my balance, it was noted that the data was being depleted from my monthly bundle and not my daily bundle as I'd planned.

I found this very strange. Such as consuming the first loaf of bread first as opposed to consuming the second loaf which expires first, bought only a few hours later.

I then called in to the call centre and was put through to Kolo from the CPT branch. She was very friendly and said that the system would update within the next 30 minutes and I'd have data deducted off the correct bundle and she'd call me afterwards to make sure all is in order. Empty promise. (11h34).

I checked my bundle again at around 15h00 to confirm as i have not yet received any phone calls. PROBLEM STILL NOT SOLVED.
I called in again and spoke to Thabang. Service started well, but then went completely downhill. I asked to speak to a manager and was randomly placed on hold, phone went silent as opposed to the waiting tone, (thought i was hung up on) and slang was used. Professionalism? Training? No? Okay.

I then got put through to a manager, Alan. Apart from him talking over me, interrupting me and quite frankly trying to 'put me in my place' I have no further complaints.

I then asked for his manager as I could not get him to understand my point of view, he said he'd sms Busisiwe Khosi's email address to me in 5-10 minutes.

I waited much longer than that. And received an sms for Vodacom's customer care email. Not even an email address. A word with almost no mail address punctuation in between. Where is your manager's email address you promised?

The SMS did not look professional at all. Is grammar a thing of the past? Is this what I should expect from Vodacom? Is this the standard that was built up from day one?

Come on Vodacom. Don't do this to me.
