So a lady walks into a Vodacom store...

I went to Vodacom at Blue Route last night to find out about upgrading my phone. There were 4 service agents, all sitting behind their desks, presumably inputting information into the database. I wait, clearly visible, clearly wanting to talk to someone... One of the sales agents, whose name begins with an 'I' but which I sadly cannot remember, looks at me 3 or 4 times before eventually saying, with great relectance...'Can I help you with something?'

I'm normally fairly tolerant but one thing I cannot stand is bad customer service, or even worse, the impression that someone is conescending to do their job...

Anyway, I said I was looking for help, if he thought he could possibly find the will, and his response was 'Well, it depends on what help you need...'

Long story short, I asked for his boss's number! Which I called and which rang and rang and rang... but no answer and even worse for a cellphone company, HAD NO VOICE MAIL MESSAGE REQUESTING THAT YOU LEAVE A MESSAGE OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT!

After a few more calls (and an ever rising tempter) I get through to Service Partners, who apparently run the Vodacom stores. The lady who dealt with my call tells me if I have a complaint, I need to email it through. Seriously? Email my complaint? I'm the one who is unhappy and now I have to email you??????? I don't think so!

So, to the manager of the BlueRoute store, Ebrahim, to Vodacom and to Service Parnters - SHAME ON YOU! I am thinking of seeing that MTN can do with my 17 year history with Vodacom.
