Siphoned airtime/data balances, no service rendered AND no Customer Service
I would have given a '0' rating if I could've, as I'm sick and tired of being jerked around by an obviously defunct "Customer Service" (LOL!) call centre, and a frustrating Twitter "Customer service" social media team. Is the game rigged to leave us so frustrated by having no one to talk to and no way to resolve our queries and, to eventually abandon the monies which have been absorbed by the network with no (or insufficient) services rendered?
For months I have been dealing with the issue of airtime and data balances just evaporating into thin air. This past Tuesday I used R140 of my R360 balance to purchase a 7 day 6 Gig Data Bundle.
By Saturday morning (6 October) - 4 days later - my data balance had been entirely depleted along with my remaining airtime balance.
As usual I call the Vodacom Customer Care numbers 135/155 and am met with voice prompts telling me that the call centre is "experiencing high call volumes right now [and advising me to] please call back later." I call back later to be told the same thing. I am constantly directed to "self-help" prompts which are not at all helpful.
I then go to the network's customer service Twitter account for help and am once again sent to go digging for information - like I'm Jessica Fletcher - to respond to the Twitter respondent's scripted questions. This is if they respond at all. This happened to me again today - 7 October 2019.
In addition, I constantly request to be connected with a human being who can assist me over the phone and, easily answer the network's own queries by quickly accessing their own system's data about my account. I was in a DM Twitter chat for over an hour, where I was asked about "Value Added Services" which I had initially confirmed the absence of.
It seems to me, that the game is to trap customers in endless dead-ends and to frustrate us into not following up our queries as our money is siphoned away, with no services rendered.
Surprised?
