Sim swop taking 27 hours and counting

My phone was recently ******, so I went into Vodacom at Canal Walk in Cape Town to report my ****** prepaid sim and to get a new sim to use in a replacement phone. This was 27 hours ago already.

I also have a suspicion that my other sim might still be active, even after reporting it ******. Also, vodacom has terrible online customer care for a communications provider. There is no way for me to make contact with them other than calling a call center (before 5pm), but seeing as I can't make calls because of my inactive sim it seems that I'm up a creek without a paddle. I find it UNIMAGIGINABLE that it can take this long to transfer a number to a new sim. I am losing work because of this, and I'm becoming very frustrated. Wake up, Vodacom, this is the age of technology, not Y2K.

I think Vodacom is overpriced, slow, old-fashioned and uncreative.

Once I get this damn number to work I'm outta here. Cheers vodacom, the last 17 years have been real. Now I'm looking for something more innovative and affordable. Because we all know that all the networks in SA are ****, but I can't fathom them being even worse than this.
