Sim Swop (*****)
I am staying on a farm in the Tshipise area in Limpopo. During the lockdown a sim swop was done on my Vodacom contract phone: *** in Lavender Hill, Cape Town - more than 2 0000 km away! At the local Vodacom shop in Musina, I immediately cancelled this sim swop before any damage could be done. On 26 August 2020 a sim swop was once again done on the above mentioned number. The assistant at the Vodacom shop in Musina (Onica) had to cancel the sim swop once again, but this time she could not verify WHERE it was done, she could only give the date. She could not do in over the phone and I once again had to travel 65 km to town to have the sim swop cancelled and had to pay R64.00 just for this service. The 5 security questions she asked me was totally irrelevant and can be answered by anyone. I consider cancelling me and my wife's Vodacom contracts as it is clear that hackers is targeting me and may possibly get access to my banking account as NO notifications can be sent to my contact number, warning me of any activity on my account. Regards FC Eloff
