Sim swap put my life on hold for days

I bought myself a new handset. And the phone uses nano sim card. I went to vodacom shop forest hill mall and they sold me a nano sim card for R67 included the sim card was swapped as i have a contract. 3 days later my new simcard is not working as well as my old sim card. I called customer care and i was told to wait for 24hrs. It came and pass and still my sim is not working. I called again using my MTN phone which is spending my airtime and i was told it shud be ok in 10 minutes. The lady y the name Unathi called me back to help with the reboot but it still not worked. I was told tbe only way to solve this i have to go back to the store were i bought the sim card and they will give me a new one free. But to do that i need to drive from randfontein to centurion, its petrol and time. Alternatively i need to buy anada sim card and pay R67 and do anada sim card. I find this disturbing because its cost that i am payibg unnecessary. Vodacom as i am their client are not helping me in any way but i sbud just pay. I am scared to go buy anada sim card coz the same might happen and i will keep on buying sim cards
