Sim Swap Hecking

Im an upset customer that needs to get her money back.

Vodacom sent me a text stating that someone wants to do a sim swap with my number and a few minutes after my phone only makes emergency calls only but i dont realise this till later the day(yesterday).

When I call in, Vodacom tells that a sim swap was done for another number and not me.

This person was given given my number then uses my number to access my cell phone banking and cleans my bank account. What hecks me is that the lady that I called from Vodacom says they have plenty cause like mine and they also get hacked and the person uses thier log in details to heck peoples accounts.

As a service provide I would like to think that when this happens to thier staff they should look into this matter and find a solution considering that in this day and age our cellphone numbers are linked to our cellphone banking. They need to take the neccessary measures to insure that thier customers need are meet.

I can't even mention that the customer consultant are rude. She said that I should've called them within 3 hours of recieving the text(Vodacom should state this on the sms or something, how the hell do I know this information its never been shared with me), I explained to the lady that I hardlyy look at my phone when I'm at work which i think is the cause for most people at work but she continued to tell that she is on her phone 24/7 and if her phone rang at the moment she will answer it while talking to me.

I'm not sure who needs to step up but Vodacom and Capitec need to do something about thier service and I would like my money reimbursed.
