SIM swap ***** Vodacom AND Mtn

On Sunday morning, the 19th January 2020. I received a called from a consultant at Vodacom telling me that there is a lady requesting to do a SIM swap with MY CURRENT number. So obviously my husband and I went to Vodacom to sort it out ourselves. The consultant that helped us said the only thing we can do is not to switch my phone off. So of course we didn't. Then this morning on 21st January 2020, my phone gave me a notification of "SIM not provisioned". So I went to Vodacom and asked what is going on all they said was that the number was reported at an MTN store, I must go to MTN so that they can reverse the report. So I went to MTN telling them my story and eventually they helped me.... So first of all HOW THE CAN YOU GIVE MY NUMBER TO SOMEONE ELSE EVEN AFTER YOU TOLD ME NOT TO SWITCH MY PHONE OFF!!!!! WHICH BY THE WAY I DIDN'T!!!!! AND THEN ALSO HOW CAN YOU AUTHORISE A REPORT FROM ANOTHER SERVICE PROVIDER IF THE NUMBER IS NOT FROM THAT SERVER!!!!!! GET MORE SAFER SECURITY!!!!!!!
