Sim-swap *****

On the evening of Friday 2 June 2017 persons unknown expedited an ******* sim-swap on my cell phone. In spite of my prompt efforts to have the line blocked, my on-line bank account was ‘hacked’ the next day (Saturday 3 June 2017) and R18356.00 was transferred **********ly out of my account. Since then Vodacom has been singularly unresponsive: even if my cell phone were not out of action, I generally prefer to use email. Vodacom's responses to my emails have been slow (where they have happened at all) and generally unhelpful.

Please make sure that the consultant uses my email address as the cell number I supp****, while being the relevant number for the contract in question, is nevertheless currently unusable, due to being blocked.

It's now 2021, and I am still waiting for that consultant to contact me. Please do not bother; I have also (long) since terminated my contract with Vodacom as I have absolutely no faith in the company.
