SIM Swap *****

On saturday 22 April at approximatly someone initiated a SIm swap on my number, by stating my number was ******, and blocking all incomming and outgoing connections. I noticed somethig was wrong with my phone at 19:30 and called the call centre , the agent advised me that a sim swap was requested and was about to go through in minutes, she was able to stop this sim swap, and added a flag on my account stating that no sim swaps are permitted telephoncally, only instore allowed. I commend this agent for her helpfulness and professionalism, my problem after the corrective action was app****, I requested to speak to her supervisor as I wanted to find out how the sim swap was initiated, and needed to find out how I was compromised, someone must have my ID , banking details etc. The supervisor, tried to assist me in getting hold of the forensics dept but noone who was supposed to be on standby for that dept was reachable, this was at roughly 20:00. Sim Swap is a very serious issue especially these days and I would expect that Vodacom take this seriously , and I would have expected that they start investigating immediatly. Also I think Vodacoms processes are flawed, as later I discovered that it appears the fruadsters had phoned in and initiated a "****** Bar", Outgoing Bar"and then a initiated a simswap , surley this should be a red flag for Vodacom to pick this up as if my fone is ****** yes I would block it but I dont think I would request a sim swap immediatly?? I thin for security if a call is logged for a ****** fone the only way a simswao would be possible is by physically going into a Vodacom outlet and show proof of ID. I am still waiting for someone to contact me with regards to my request in that i want a copy of the recordings of the sim swap. I have since then change as a preventitive measure changed all my passwords for my internet banking as well as my cellular account. I also do not hand out my details willy nilly as in this day and age I do not trust individuals with my ID number or other sensitive details,
