Sim Swap done without knowledge

<p>I have a mobile contract with Vodacom for a number of years.</p> <p>Last year June 16, I renenewed the contract for another 24 months.</p> <p>This mobile is used by my spouse _ ********** 42</p> <p> </p> <p>On 19 Jan 17, received numerous messages for Out of Bundle data usage.</p> <p>My limit above contract rates is R 50. We never go above free minutes and data.</p> <p>I contacted Vodacom call centre and was informed that the number is now assgigned to Miss J Beukes.</p> <p>A sim swap was done on 14 Dec 16</p> <p>The limit was increased on 14 Dec 16 to R 2000-00</p> <p> </p> <p>How is this possible?</p> <p>I work away from South Africa and departed SA on 6 Dec 16 and still away.</p> <p>I can still call my spouse on this number. We able to get sms to this number </p> <p>However data is used up.</p> <p>This number is used for data by Miss Beukes</p> <p> </p> <p>Surely Vodacom can give this their immediate attention and provide feedback.</p> <p>No feedback from Vodacom (Call or email)</p> <p>Disappointing </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>The call centre asked me to provide copy of my ID. (Called call centre 25 Jan)</p> <p>Why? I have an existing contract.</p> <p>Surely they can investigate and rectify issue immedialtey</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
