Sim swap doesnt work. vodacom cant help me

I bought a Nokia Lumina and decided to do a sim swap at the same time as my old sim was worn and damaged. I followed all the instructions and when i tried the phone the following chain of events happened:-<br> <br> 1) couldnt make calls and incoming calls auto directed to my landline immediately. vodacom responce was that the sim swap hadnt completed and to turn phone off for more then 24 hrs. i followed instructions and no change<br> <br> 2) took the phone to Ballito (160km round trip). technician was able to get it to make calls but it still was diverting incoming calls immediately. she said she couldnt help further but had logged a fault and they would call us.... they never did.<br> <br> 3) did a system upgrade on the new phone thinking this might be it. no change.<br> <br> 4) tried someone elses sim in my phone and it worked perfectly so its not the phone<br> <br> 5) tried sim in someone elses phone and same result <br> <br> 6) thought it might be the sim so bought new sim, rica'd, tried sim swap again following vodacom instructions. result now it wont make or receive calls and is saying no sim<br> <br> 7) vodacom call centre has not been able to help me and run out of ideas (their words) and suggested i go to a vodashop. <br> <br> HELP!!!
