SIM SWAP DEBACLE
Vodacom has been sending me daily sms's to change my old outdated card. Friday my husband went as the contract is in his name and I also have a new phone. Paid for it (although the sms said it will be free) Received a sms that it will be activated within 24 hours. 48 hours later, nothing. After numerous calls with promises of call backs, was informed that the ***** department must approve and activate it and THEY DON'T WORK WEEKENDS!! Please don't do a dim swap before the weekend. I appreciate the extra security but inform the client EXACTLY what the procedure is regarding weekend activation.
