Sim swap and ***** just after contacting customer care

I reached out to Vodacom customer care at the end of May to assist with changing a contract while we are living overseas, almost immediately after this interaction I noticed ********** transactions linked to my Vodacom number.

A sim swap had been done on my number and this allowed access to certain services linked to my number.

As a loyal customer of Vodacom for more than 20 years, I find it shocking that to get service while overseas is next to impossible, but that as soon as you engage with customer care a sim swap is done.

Hi Vodacom, I would swear at you if I thought you would care! Not only was I able to confirm that the sim swap was done with the assistance of your customer care, but after submitting all required documents to the ***** department as requested I just got a one line reply and a letter to state that you do not take any responsibility for the sim swap and that you are not liable for any losses I incurred.

Clearly your ***** department is not at all there to assist clients with *****, but is only a means for you to indemnify.

It is clear that you do not give a flying F%&K about you customers.

I have now paid early cancellations and am glad to get rid of you!
