Sim swap

I have tried to do a sim swap on one of mh numbers. I went into one of the stores and was told I could not do this, this number is linked to my banking app which im locked out of. Please can someone help me, I dont understand how the person assisting me tells me the number is deleted but they can see it on the system. Please call me on ***
