Sim Swap

Two weeks back the ****s smashed my car window and took my phone I have opened a case with SAPS and was given a case number. I want to do a sim swap I could not answer all the questions correctly. Then the consultant advised me to go to a vodacom shop near me which is in Bethlehem. At the shop I was asked for 5 numbers I called in the last 30 days. How the hell will I remember those numbers, I do not keep the numbers in my head. If I bring my ID and proof of residence with a case number that should be proof that I am the owner of the sim card.

Why do we RICA these sim cards if you cant pull out records to prove that I the rightful owner of the sim card. There must be exceptions, I do not remember any thing about airtime, data/ price plan. I do not keep such info because I never thought would lose my phone. I called in to soft lock my number.

Please advise what must I do to get my old number back.
