Sim card swop
On 29.1.2016 my new Samsung phone ceased to function. Took it to Vodacom Century City who wanted me to book it in for repair. I declined as the phone was only 1 month old and still under guarantee. Instead I took the phone in to CelluCity Waterfront. They informed me that a new sim card had been issued on 29.1.2016. This has certainly not been requested by myself. At 8.10am on the morning of that same day, we had a call from FNB ***** dept asking whether we had made certain large payments that morning. We informed them that we hadn't and they said that they would immediately reverse those payments where they were able to - that is, where they hadn't yet been transferred to 3rd party banks. We are still around R19,000 down - but it could have been a lot worse ! All One Time Pins are only sent to my phone for verification of eft payments from our online banking system.

This matter has been reported to the police and we have a case number. It is also (allegedly) being investigated by Vodacom - although no progress has been made. This ***** would not have occurred had Vodacom followed their own stated due process and notified me at least 2 hours before replacing my sim card
