Sim Card Duplicated by Vodacom

Good Day

My phone number has been duplicated/recycled. My phone network stopped working on Friday. I have been unable to make or receive calls and messages since then. I went to Vodacom at Vangate, Athlone for assistance. On Saturday they tried to do a simswap and that didnt work, i went there again yesterday, they said i must contact Customer Care.

I have been trying to contact Customer Care, there is no way of getting through to a consultant. I went as far as contacting another vodacom service number for business and i went through. Felicia from that Department put me through to Customer Care but it didnt go through.

I am in a very dangerous and vulnerable position where someone else is using my number. He picked up my calls when i tried to call my number and he said that he recently got a new cellphone and was provided that number.

How is it possible that Vodacom can give away my number that i have used for so many years? Do you realise how dangerous this is? The guy using my number even complained that he cant buy airtime because my airtime adavane deducts.

My number is ***

Please sort this mess out as I didnt create this and i dont deserve to be disadvantaged like this. I cant even log into our Company's network because i cant receive the OTP.

Good Day

How will the consultant contact me? As I have stated; someone else is using my number at the moment and i am unable to receive calls or messages. How will I be contacted? I have provided my cell number ***) in order for you to assist me not to contact me. I have received emails from colleagues trying to contact me saying that a guy is picking up the calls, the same guy who informed me that he purchased a cellphone and received that number, my number.

You can send me an email to my personal email address - ***

I am still waiting for a solution. Please note that i am unable to even work because my cellphone number is being used by someone else. I cant log in to my company network as a pin is sent to my number to log in but someone else is using my number.

I dont know if you imagine the urgency of my situation.
