Should i charge Vodacom for theft???
So i have been *******ly subscribed to a Fibre contract which i am being billed for of which a broadband modem has been supp****. In the 6 months i waited for Vodacom to install my fibre and being at my wits end, i was offered an interim "Once Off" bundle that i could use because "it would only be another month" until fibre was installed. At the end of that month, no fibre was installed and on enquiry there was no option to top up the bundle i had received. I proceeded to ensure that all relevant parties were aware of my request to cancel the impending contract for Fibre. I then went ahead and got Cell C on board, who within 2 weeks installed fibre. I have had a contract with them ever since and have never had fibre installed from Vodacom. No one despite my numerous requests has ever collected the modem for the "once off data bundle". Also despite being informed that i need to cancel and then cancelling twice already, the contract is still in place. I have been told that the service request is still open, but then i have heard this now for the past 6 months. To top this off, this fibre/ broadband contract (which can i point out is not even what the original fibre application was for) has been lumped onto my debit order without my authorisation, with my cell phone bill. Now my cell phone bill i am happy to pay. However i am no longer willing, after trying to cancel for 8 months, to fit the bill for this "other" contract. I have informed Vodacom by email that i will not be paying anything further to them for services until this issue is resolved and my money is returned to me. Also if i should hear, once more that the fibre applications/ installations are done by independant guys/ companies i might completely lose my cool! I don't care for that information. Vodacom is deducting money from me, they are responsible! At what point is any of the above acceptable or legal?
