Shop has given me a faulty loaner phone

I have just handed in my Samsung Galaxy for repair and was given a temporary phone to use as mine will be out of commission for 4 to 7 days. On arrival back at my place of work in the Lanseria area I have discovered that the phone and sim card are incompatible. It appears to take the card, but doesn't recognize the presence of the sim card once the phone is unlocked. I phoned the shop and they told me that I will have to come back so that they can look at it again.

I run on a very tight schedule, was extremely lucky to get an opening to get to the shop and feel that since it was remiss of the shop to not ensure the functionality of the loaner phone with the sim card in, I should not be the one inconvenienced by having to drive back again. I feel that a service should either be offered with all due diligence or not at all. Since I don't have a working phone, I can be contacted for a limited time on ***.
