Shoooketh!!!!

I am shocked at the practice undertaken by networks such as vodacom and MTN. I recently found out, after having entered into a contract already, that the dual functionality of the Huawei P30 (and I assume other phones with this function) is automatically deactivated if you buy the phone from MTN or vodacom. Their data prices are ridiculously exorbitant and whereas one could have opted to use another simcard for data purposes from a cheaper network like telkom, you can't. What's worse is if you are on contract with them you are forced to endure these ridiculous prices for two years! Surely we can at least be warned before we buy these phones. The consumer protection commission or even the competition commission must be able to do something about this!!
