Shockingly bad service.

I am horrified by the shockingly bad service I have received from the Vodacom store at Baywest Mall in Port Elizabeth. On Friday, April 28 I did my upgrade in store. I wanted to do an instore set up immediately but I was told that the technician was on lunch so I was advised to go home and charge the device and return the following day for a full setup. I went home and charged my phone and did not insert my sim as I planned to do a full set up in store. When I attempted to set up my new phone in store on April 29 I was informed that the device was faulty and needed to be couriered to Joburg for them to check what the problem is. Please remember this is a brand new phone which has never been used. On Friday, May 5, the store clerk called to say my device would take another week. Yesterday, May 9, she called me again to say it will take another week and that I might get the phone at the end of this month. I told her that I am not satisfied as I am going to get charged for this new contract this month and I have not even used the phone yet. I enquired whether I would be charged and the store clerk said I would be. I then asked to speak to the store's manager only to be told the manager was off. I then posted my frustration with the store's poor service on Vodacom's Facebook page and I received the most shocking responses from the page's administrator advising me to take my complaint to the store's manager when I already said the manager was off. I then had to follow up with the branch again today only to be told that my phone is still being processed and I still have to wait. I was not offered a loan device. No one extended any apologies to me as a customer and I had to follow up on my phone myself today even though I was told someone from the store would call me today. I am being incovenienced because a new phone is faulty. I should have been offered a brand new device immediately. I am absolutely disgusted in Vodacom and no one is willing to assist me. I have been left with no choice but to cancel my contract.
