Shocking service!!!

Vodacom account number: I **********

On 28 April 2017 I upgraded my daughter's contract. After choosing the phone we proceeded to discuss the price plan. I was always on a plan where the line was not open. I have a 15 year old daughter, and therefore it is common sense to NOT have an open line. I am not au fait with the packages Vodacom has to offer however, I made it VERY clear to the consultant that I DID NOT want an open line (for ovious reasons).

First month's billing, everything was fine. Was billed R299 as I expected. No problem here. I was however concerned that I was ALSO billed for the old contract amount: both invoices raised on the 03/05 < WHY???? To add, on 5 July 2017 I queried but as usual, Vodacom shoved me around from one consultant to the next and after spending more than an hour on the phone, NO ONE solved my query. I can't even explain how exhausting the whole debacle was since everyone that I spoke to was either belligerent, know-it-all, just completely clueless OR "you need to speak to accounts".

Right, on to the end of June and I get the shock of my life after a debit order in excess of R1,400.00 goes off my account. Like, HOW??? For 22 months since June 2015, I never had to pay anything more than the R99 contract amount; now this?? And that on a 15 year old? I called the customer care dept only to be told that the line was actually an "open line". Why would I consent to an open line for a child? I KNOW that I made it patently clear - when I upgraded - that all I wanted was the usual bundle which included the sms's, data and that was it. I told the consultant I couldn't afford any nasty surprises and that I wanted to be billed nothing more than the contract amount every month. I know I said this!!!

July statement, same thing. Over R600. I requested itemised billing on 5th July yet NOTHING has been emailed to me. I sent an email on 5th July to investigate the call center recording as proof that I didn't want an open line and so far, NOTHING. A day later, lady by the name of Tracy responded to me and said she'll get back to me. 13 days later and still NOTHING.

Where do I get R2000 to cough up on a teenager's cellphone? This was NEVER like this??? Like I said, for 22 months since June 2015 when I got my daughter's first phone everything was fine. My contract amount was R99 every month and there were no hiccups. Why hasn't anyone called me back to resolve this?

How come there was no phonecall to let me know that I was being billed additional charges? I even sent an email on 23rd May to Customer Care to let them know that I wasn't getting any statements: because for MONTHS I received NO statements. I checked and the last statement I received was on 7th January 2016.

I am totally disgusted Vodacom. There has been no attempt from your side to try and sort this out except when I spoke to accounts, they were quick on the ball to "discuss a payment arrangement". Like, NO!!! Why should I pay for something I CLEARLY did not ask for?

Sort this our Vodacom. I am done listening to music in my ears and being passed on from one dept to another.
