Shocking - no accountability / Empty promises.

Good Day I want to refer to the last few months of dealing with Vodacom and the awful service received. At the time of wanting to take a contract Vodacom with the Iphone 12 Pro in late January, there was no stock. I then contacted the Istore and dealt with a Vodacom representative who assisted me. We proceeded to take out a contract for *** at Istore in the V&A Waterfront, however we needed to PORT the number into Vodacom, which was done, then a couple of days later I discovered that Thando never did an application for a contract, only credit vetting on the 26/02 and per his feedback – Vodacom declined to give me a contract as I did not have a Vodacom profile. This is all while I have 2 active profiles. We then needed to reverse the PORT as a contract was not on offer. When I spoke with a consultant in the Vodacom store on the 08/03, they advised what I was told was incorrect and could assist me with a contract, however we needed to PORT the number into Vodacom again. She proceeded to do same and received feedback from the porting department that due to the previous PORT in – PORT out scenario we have to wait 60-days port clause now leaves me am unable to proceed with the contract until this time expires. I called Vodacom retentions on the 26/04 at 14:12pm, reference number #0823 - to request a cancellation for my other contract number ***, as MTN offered me a good deal and I would be able to utilize the *** number – and once again I spoke to Sahier Heeralall, who offered me the following: 1. We can cancel your *** at no charge to you 2. PORT your *** and put this onto a contract 3. The Top-up contract will cost ZAR 228 per month, with 5GB anytime data and 1000 any network minutes per month. The deal is made of the data cost at ZAR 79 and the minutes at ZAR 149. I advised Sahier that I am still waiting for my PORT days to expire anytime soon, then we could proceed, to which he rep****, “no problem, all my colleagues are aware of this and can offer it to you”. 10/05 - Based on the advice from Vodacom, I PORTED my number yet again to activate the offer Sahier had advised. 11/05 @08:47am spoke to vodacom retentions – Michelle Naidoo whom advised me that they cannot do what Sahier had told me and doesn’t know who that is – she will log a call for escalation. I requested a copy of the call from the 26/04 – still nothing received. 11/05 – Spoke with Xoliele, Ntalaleng, Arthur who all advised me they would escalate this query as this is NOT what can be offered and they don’t know who Sahier is, or that he worked in rewards. I was transferred to various departments, Activation, upgrades, retentions all not accepting the responsibility or accountability of sorting out this query. I was advised by various parties in retentions there is no process of escalation. 11/05 – Spoke to Thando and she advised me that she managed to get hold of Sahier and spoke with him – the query had been escalated to him and his team leader and Sahier said he would call me back by the latest 12/05. She would also follow-up with me by 15h00pm to ensure he called me back. I have not received a call back. She also said there is no reference number for this call as it’s an escalation. 12/05 – Spoke with Reginald in retentions, who told me to call Rewards directly and I would get hold of Sahier on ***. I called to Wendell and requested a copy of the call which transpired on the 26/04, after multiple back and forth he eventually said they are unable to assist and I should contact upgrades. 12/05 – Called retentions again, spoke to Claire, to request a quote for cancellation for both active contracts with Vodacom and she advised retention team leaders do not take calls or escalations and I should contact customer service. She could not give me an email address either. 12/05 – Spoke to Mduzi in retentions to enquire about escalations, and to request a copy of the call on the 26/04. I was advised that a copy can be requested and he has escalated to his team leader, who can retrieve this or either request from the quality control department – I should receive feedback within 2-48 hours. *** 12/05 – PORT Dept, spoke with Sinethemba, who advised that I have 5 days within which to reverse the PORT. She can see multiple requests to PORT in and PORT out and if I request another reversal, Vodacom could delete the line or never accept a PORT-in again. I’ve requested for this call, the fact that all these requests to PORT-IN was done was based on a Vodacom representative advising me how to go about to obtain a contract on a specific number, then after the number is ported, failing to offer same. This is awful and a complete waste of any customer’s time! Based on Vodacom not keeping up their end of the deal, I do not authorize you to delete this number or liable for any costs incurred or rectified. I will also not be locked into another PORT stay clause as none of these events was my fault. The purpose of this mail is for Vodacom to find a acceptable resolution for me by tomorrow 14/05 16h00pm. Should this not to occur I must exercise the PORT reversal (within the 5-day period) and this matter will be escalated further to the relevant mobile and consumer boards. Await your feedback

To date, I received a call from Monica, acknowledging my complaint and that I would receive feedback within 3 working days - we are on day 4 and still no feedback or resolution on this - utterly disgusting.
If I do not receive any feedback by COB today (19th May) I will lodge a complaint with Icasa and the Ombudsman accordingly.
