Shocking experience with Vodacom

In June 2019 I received an insurance replacement device (Apple iPhone XS) from Vodacom and paid the excess at Vodacom 4u Nicolway in Sandton. I recently tried to upgrade and trade in my current device only to find out it is worth nothing as my device is listed on the CheckMend Database. I do not understand how Vodacom cannot take ownership as I’ve only ever used my Vodacom sim card in the device. I have been put under major inconvenience going to the store multiple times and spent countless hours with the consultant to try get this phone of the ChechMend database as my contract is up for an upgrade. This has been a very shocking experience as a loyal Vodacom customer for almost a decade and I hope Vodacom will take this matter seriously as its unfair and really been a terrible experience for me trying to upgrade and I am considering cancelling my plan!!!
