SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM VODACOM FIBRE

Our fibre connection with Vodacom through Vumatel was disconnected last Wednesday the 5th of Febraury 2025. There was never a request to have it disconnected and nobody at Vodacom or Vumatel can advise who the request came from either. Since then numerous phone calls have been made to Vodacom and Vumatel to try and have the fibre reconnected as soon as possible again, but there is so much confusion with every single person contacted because each one has a different story. Today is more than a week that we have been trying to be reconnected and the frustration of dealing with call centres is beyond explanation. Nobody actually knows what is going on, what the reason was for disconnection in the first place, what is being done to rectify the problem, who is responsible for the reconnection or when we can expect to be reconnected again. The disconnection of our fibre line affects home security and online business, but clearly Vodacom and Vumatel couldn't care less about this as absolutely nothing is being done and neither is there any feedback from their side after numerous promises to call back and advise when we can expect to be reconnected again !!! This is such shoddy service from a service provider who is reportedly supposed to be reputable and we as the customer are so annoyed at the lack of responsibility from Vodacom. We have done everything in our power to be reconnected and not really sure what other course of action can be taken to remedy the situation as soon as possible. Cancellation of the line is perhaps the only route to take now and sign up with another service provider thereafter.

The above response is generic and and in no way does it address the urgency of our situation and neither does it suppress the frustration we feel at having no wifi connection after 8 days !!! It is clear from all our efforts that the left doesn't know what the right is doing at Vodacom. To say we are frustrated with this situation is putting it mildly, we have run out of patience and lost all hope of being reconnected anytime soon. We will definitely be taking our business somewhere else, where the customer is appreciated and serviced as a matter of priority.
