Shocking Customer Service at Vodacom The Grove Mall – Extremely Disappointed!
I’m writing this review with deep disappointment and frustration after the appalling service my wife and I received at the Vodacom store at The Grove Mall.
Just yesterday, my wife took out a contract for the Samsung S25 Ultra and added a Galaxy Watch 7, specifically requesting a small-sized strap for the watch. Unfortunately, when we got home and opened the box, we discovered that the watch came with a large strap, which she cannot wear.
We returned to the store the very next day to sort this out, expecting a simple exchange or, at the very least, a proper explanation. What we got instead was a completely dismissive and unhelpful experience.
It felt like no one at the store even remembered assisting her the day before. The store manager didn’t give us the time of day, didn’t listen to our concerns, and simply passed us off to a Samsung promotional rep in the store. Instead of assisting us professionally, she bluntly told us to go buy a smaller strap on Takealot!
This is completely unacceptable. We were sold a product that was not what we asked for, and instead of being treated with respect and care as loyal Vodacom customers, we were dismissed without any attempt to resolve the issue.
I’ve been a loyal Vodacom customer for over 10 years, with multiple contracts over the years, but this experience has truly shaken my trust in the brand. The lack of accountability, customer care, and professionalism shown by the staff at Vodacom The Grove Mall is beyond disappointing.
It’s clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority at this store, and that once the sale is made, you’re on your own. I feel betrayed by a company I’ve supported for years, and this experience has left a bitter taste.
Vodacom, I sincerely hope you take this complaint seriously and address the poor service culture at this branch. Customers deserve better.
