Shocking Bad Service - Vodacom Canal Walk - Samsung Tab s2

Samsung Galaxy S2 Tablet- Overheating

Bought a Samsung Galaxy s2 from vodacom canal walk however within the year the device started overheating when on charge to the extent that it would burn my hands. Sent the device is for repairs as the overheating was causing the back cover to warp not to mention the risk of my samsung product exploding. i took it in for repairs and was told due to the nature of the fault it would be sent to samsung for evaluation. Checked in periodically and was told its still there . Three weeks later as there was no word. i spoke the manager of the store who said its still there and was never sent Samsung for evaluation .

So clearly the staff **** to my face and was giving me the runaround. Manager was not even apologetic the his staff **** like that. Then i was givin three diffrent quotes varying from 1200 to 4500 for a device that was clearly overheating due to a design fault. This when the device was within a year from date of purchase. The store manager was not in the least concerned that his staff blatantly **** to me. They clearly were not going to take the device to Samsung and i took it there myself as they could not be trusted o do the necessary . Where i was told after 4 weeks that i would have to pay for the repair and they would charge me for replacing the LCD as they could not replace the battery without breaking the LCD hence the charge.

The device warped due to overheating and clearly the battery is at fault. However how is a technician worth his salt not able to replace a battery without causing further damage to the tablet then want to charge me R5000 to repair the device due to them not being able to repair the tablet without without causing further damage. How is this even possible.

Samsung and Vodacom is clearly filching unsuspecting customers into paying for clear hardware faults and the shocking lies and misdirection i received from your support centres not to mention time spent on even getting any answer as to the status of the repair is shocking

Device clearly is a fire hazard and a risk and they want to charge me for the privilege .

Samsung and Vodacom is cahoots to ****** money for device faults and with Samsung reputation for exploding devices.

Dissatisfied Customer
