Sheer terrible service and no customer values

I have two lines with Vodacom; one voice+data and the other data. On Monday 4 June 2017 I woke up to a message that my account has been softlock due to a voluntary account limit being reached. I immediately called their call centre and the consultant that assisted me told me that they are running on two billing systems and the one reflects no problem on my account while the other reflects a bill of R17 000 on the data line. She advised me that the reason for my line being soft locked is because of my credit limit being reached. She however promised that she is investigating the matter and would call me at 8:30 that morning. 8:30 struck and I received no call; I then called the call centre again and I explained my story over a gain to a new consultant. The irony is that I upgraded the data line on May 5 2017 to a 5GB "top-up". The consultant explained to me that for the whole month of June it was still an open line and billed and for that month my bill amounts to R15 393.31. I was shocked because I have had this contract for year and further monitor my usage via the "My Vodacom" App. In fact I seldom even use the router because I also had about 30GB on my voice line that I could have used if the 5GB on the router could have been depleted.

I then requested an itemized bill which the consultant said she would first activate the option for me and then forward it through to my email address. I waited for over and I received an email with a link to indicate that I can access my itemized bill on my own via "My Vodacom". I tried but the option was not there. I then went to a Vodashop in Nelspruit where they tried to help me but the consultant that helped me there said the request from head office has not been closed and for her to assist me they need to cancel it. I stayed there for over an hour while she tried to help me until she requested that I leave and the itemized bill would be sent to my email. She then also uplifted the credit limit softlock on my phone and I could use the line for the whole day.

Bu the end of Monday, I had not received it and when I woke up on Tuesday, the line was softlocked again. I went back to the Vodashop and it was uplifted again and I was promised that the itemized bill would be sent to my email but I received nothing. On Wednesday I went back and she advised me to escalate the matter to their provincial office because head office says I must call the call centre for me to be assisted. I went to see them on Thursday and they said I must leave an itemized bill would be sent to me.

I am so annoyed to say that to date I have not received any itemized bill from Vodacom, every person I speak to keeps on telling me that there is a problem but does not indicate what the problem is. Since last week Monday, I have called Vodacom’s call centre over 5 times. And on all occasions I narrate my story to a new person and even while visit their shop here in Nelspruit they kept on referring me to someone else to whom I had to always narrate the story over again and further answer security questions.

Now I have these questions;

1. They claim that the R15 000 bill is for the month of May while my current balance reflects recurring data of 4.28GB from the month of May. According to my statement this is my bills for the past 5 months;

January = R 0.00

February = R 28.48

March = R 428.83

April = R 0.00

May = R 15 393.31

I did not use any data in April and have recurring data that expires on 1 August 2017. Why was I billed for extra data for May? My current balance IS 9.44GB. What is the R 15 000 for in May when I still had a balance from 5GB that I receive monthly and had not even used any extra in April?

2. Since my voice line is on the Red VIP+, I have limitless calls; what will I be paying for at the end of the month since I haven’t been able to use the line because of the days I am being softlocked.

3. Every morning I have to call Vodacom and even this morning I called because I did not receive anything yesterday and my line was soft-locked again last night. What is blocking Vodacom from sending me the itemized bill that informs the R 15 000?

4. And since it has been over a week since I have been requesting for it; how am I expected to trust their billing systems if they can be open to me by send me or at least give me access to my itemized bill to see the amount comes from?

5. I am tired to calling Vodacom literally every day without being assisted; this is a total waste of my time?
