SHAME ON YOU VODACOM
My mother, who is 83 year old renewed her cellphone contract at Vodacom Tygervalley a few months ago and the sales person probably found it OK to upload a callertune that obviously serves as an advert and generates business for Vadacom, but resulted in months of inconvenience to my mom due to the fact that she cannot open the security gate to her visitors at the retirement village where she resides because the system does not recognize the callertune. On Sunday, I took my mom to Vodacom Tygervalley to request that they disable it. She has a walking issue and walks with a walking aid and it took us 20 minutes from the disabled parking bay to the shop. On our arrival, a gentleman who as in a conversation with his two colleagues (there were no other customers in the shop) ask whether he can assist. We explained the situation. He told us she needs to come back on Monday since they only do Sales over the weekend and he cannot phone the call centre on a Sunday. I explained to him I work during the week and it is extremely difficult for my mom to walk. He then said "sorry, I do not make the rules" and he turned around to continue the conversation with his two co-workers. SHAME ON YOU VODACOM.!!!!! My mother is 83 years, walks with an walking aid and all we requested was that the callertune (that she never requested) gets disabled.
