Shame on Vodacom
After receiving a call from one of Vodacom's franchisees who caught my at the end of the day and convinced me that my cell phone contact was due for an upgrade / renewal, they sent me a SIM under the pretext that the card was a replacement for my existing number. As I was unable to reach the franchisee on the number *** immediately after the call, I contacted Vodacom immediately afterwards and then the next day and following to stop the transaction. I was given a reference number and told that the transaction would be reversed within 48 - 72 hours. Despite this, Vodacom has had its courier attempt to deliver the SIM for a new cellphone number to me today. My numerous calls to their 082 customer care line have been ignored. It now appears that Vodacom is attempting to employ underhanded tactics to drum up sales during COVID-19. Very poor show Vodacom!
