Settlement letter

My name was in a mess due to ***** now it cleared , but the bank and I need the letter that state what happened and that the matter is resolved . So I have requested that a week ago and I was told that the legal department still has to draft a letter , my question is how long does it take for the letter to be drafted . The painful part is that I cant buy any assets still . Please help .
