Settled account prematurely but still owe Vodacom
2019 November I called Vodacom to get a settlement balance which I paid to cancel my contract prematurely. Just over a month after that I was sent emails that I still owe them. I called them numerous times to try and find out what I owe them for as I had settled that account based on the settlement letter. All my calls got me to no resolution as I either got cut off, the consultant on the other hand couldn't explain why or I couldn't reach then as my prepaid number doesn't call contract numbers. I even went into the store I got a settlement from. The lady working in the Clearwater store helped me call different numbers without any joy.
Regardless all of that Vodacom blocked my line, handed my account to lawyers.
Literally 10 months after paying the settlement amount & after asking for recordings of those calls to prove I paid what I was invoiced. I get a call from Vodacom. This is after numerous emails begging someone from Vodacom for an explanation through their lawyers.
The consultant name is Melody, beautiful name but your call is 10 months late. So Vodacom wants to tell me that their settlement amount didn't include a certain fee even after I told them I wanted to pay them all I owed them for.
I just got retrenched and have to deal with negligent staff from Vodacom who left this account unattended and didn't bother to help me understand why they demanded money from me.
Vodacom service has been worse that pathetic, their staff is negligent and unhelpful. Your accounts department is even worse. You can take time to call people to get them into contracts but take 10 months to help someone resolve their account queries. Hopeless & horrid experience. I'm definately potting out after you unlock my number.
I guess they don't have time to call me directly. Great customer service Vodacom.
I'm just happy that this matter is settled now.
Thanks Hello Peter for this platform
