Service suspended + Data overcharge

My Altach Autopage account(data contract) has ben taken over by Vodacom. I am currently paying Vodacom R300/month & in October i received a bill for R900. On 14Nov.'16, I logged a complaint & received a ref.#1- ********** 1661. On Monday 5Dec.'16@12h59, I received an sms saying that the query has been closed. On Maonday 5Dec.'16, i received an e-mail from ********** stating that "without admission of liability and purely as a once-off gesture of goodwill, Vodacom is prepared to credit your account". On Tuesday 6Dec.'16 @15h50, i received another e-mail from Subscriber Collections, stating that my account NAO13537-6 is in arrears for R568.17 which needs to be paid within 7days, with consequences of Credit Bureau listings & handing me over to Pre-Legal Department & the service will be suspended.

I immediately called ********** & was told that my account has been suspended for non-payment. We I read the e-mail i received regarding the credit been passed, she then said, that "a credit has been passed today". I then asked why I was sent an e-mail for an outsanding amount when a credit has been passed on the system, I was asked to contact "subscriber collections". I then asked to speak to her Supervisor who apologised & assured me that the service would be re-instated within the hour. On Wed. 7Dec.'16@12h00, I called ********** to query the status of my account & was told that everything was in order. When I told them that I still had no service, was told to contact "subscriber collections". I asked to be put through & waited for a long while & spoke to Nyameko Mondile, who advised that he was only dealing with "business contracts" but offered to help after listening to my story. He tried for 10 mins to get through to them without any luck & promised to get hold of them & call me back. About an hour later, he called me back & put me through to a lady in "subscriber collections" who was very abrupt & told me that the service had been re-instated but offered no apology & then told me to contact "customer care & query why the service is not working.

Is this now a case of the "tail wagging the dog"? How ist it that a multi million rand operation does not have any systems in place to correct the wrong properly, other than have various departments that are run independently & not knowing what the other is doing? Why does it become my duty to contact all the relevant parties to sort out my problem? Why is the process not escalated a& followed through to ensure that the process is finalised & the customer is happy? Am I now going to be compensated for the service been suspended?

Finally, if this acoount has been taken over by Vodacom, why has all the block on the data usage when depleted been lifted resulting in this problem & how am I assured that it has been re-instated as no-one is able to confirm this.

Awaiting an urgent reply.

Antony Burgess

********** 484
