Service Provider With ********** Customer Service

Dear Vodacom

I blocked my contract number ********** in December 2015, ensuring that no one could use it. I could not cancel my contract as the cancelation fee would amount to roughly R 1,500.00 of which I was not able to pay at that time. I then waited until April to cancel my contract so that the cancelation fee would be lower - and to my surprise I was quoted a nil balance (reference number on quote: 1- ********** 630) on 11 April 2016.

Prior to the 11 April 2016, I phoned your call centre to enquire on when I could cancel my contract. On the 11/04/2016 I requested a Premature Cancelation Quotation which was sent to me on that day. Please note that on the 11/04/2016, I sent back the Premature Cancelation Quotation which amount to a nil value (as of the 11/04/2016 I owed 0.00 as per the Premature Cancelation Quotation) on the same day 11/04/2016. I have received your emails confirming that your retention department has received my Premature Cancelation Quotation of which was nil. I was then debited on the 01/05/2016 and then again on the 01/06/2016 but as per your Premature Cancelation Quotation , I owed you nothing - this was also stipulated in the email of which I sent back the signed Premature Cancelation Quotation and a copy of my ID.

Subsequent to this, I phoned your call centre again, to enquire about my refund due. I was told by one of your call centre employees that I will receive my refund as Vodacom has debited my account inaccurately. It is now the 23/09/2016 and I still have not received my refund. After countless phone calls to your pitiable call centre and being transferred to incorrect departments on numerous occasions, I still haven’t received any help or assistance regarding this matter.

Furthermore, I keep getting told that no refund is due to me when in actual fact a refund is due to me! The last person I spoke to was Nhlanhla Ndlovu, (Supervisor - Dinko Baloyi), who very rudely put the phone down on me after he accused me of saying that I told him specifically that he didn't know how to do his job, when in actual fact I asked how people get call centre jobs at Vodacom - considering the fact that the majority of the employees cannot assist me!! Please note that this was my second phone call to Vodacom today, the first being over 45 minutes and then having the phone put down on me. Your customer service to your clients is absolutely disgusting! I have requested my recorded calls bewteen your customer service centre and my self, and was then reffered to going into a store of yours to retrieve this information. Now due to your poor service, I'm now expected to run around to resolve this unnecessary problem caused by your staff.

In conclusion, you have 3 (three) working days to refund me. Providing that you do not refund me, I will report to you ICASA, other significant authorities and I will take this matter further.
