Service

Good Day

I have a Microsoft 950XL which has given me a lot of issues.

The device was taken on a contract upgrade which was done on 13/02/2016.

Phones has worked fine for 5 - 6 months after I received it, thereafter I experienced restarting/switching and blanking out of the phone.

I then booked it in for repairs at Cresta Repair Centre, I was told it would take 7 - 10 working days. (Booked 13/09/16 received sms 03 October 16) Shocking.

On 3rd October 2016 which was Monday, I received an sms from Vodacom saying “Job Number ********** 6 is ready for collection”

Yesterday (04/10/2016) I visited the store to collect my device, just to be told that your device is ready but you cannot use it as the battery was swollen and we need to order a new battery which will only come late Friday or Monday at my cost. Simple customer service was to advise me that I need a battery replacement, another poor service and the consumer has to wait another few days being without a device.

I cannot believe a battery which is a consumable item, they do not have in stock, what an inconvenience.

This was however not mentioned to me via SMS, as I am under the impression if notified my device is ready for collection means all is in working order.

I am very disappointed at the Service and the time frame taken to get my device back.
