**** service

On the 5th of May 2016 I app**** for a Hyawei contract with VR box at Vodacom Blue Route mall in Tokai.A week past and i decided to follow up and had to leave a message due to the consultant being busy with another client. Another week past and i called her on the 17th May 2016. Yet again she was not available and i had to express my annoiance with the receptionist. Shortly there after I received a vetting application notification email and immediately a telephone call from the sales consultant. She informed me that she could not get onto Vodacoms website to process the application( for almost two weeks). She then informed me that she will immediately place the order for the bundle and let me know when they have received it. With no communication I decided to visit the store on the 28th May 2016 because any attempt to contact them telephonically is always fruitless. I patiently waited for an hour to be attended to and when my turn eventually came i was welcomed with the joyous news that they didn't know where the handset was. All they could tell me was that it was despatched and that it was in Ram couriers possesion. She assured me that she would call me the following Tuesday 31 May when the unit was expected to arrive and to my delightful excitement NO PHONE CALL. Another week past and i had to make the effort to call again to be informed by my dear consultant that she was about to call me to inform me that my package has arrived. I visited the store on Sa****ay 11th June at 16:00 to find my sales lady on a lunch break an hour before her shift ended. I was eventually assisted by another sales consultant and was handed the handset without a VR box and informed me I app**** for the bundle after the limited quantity was sold even though when i initially did the application with the very efficient sales lady, she assured me that there was still units available. Sales lady no.2 then had a chat with her manager who then told her that he will check where he could find the bundle i app**** for and would get back to me on Monday 13 June 2016. It shouldnt come as a surprise that i am still waiting. If a manager of a store cant keep his promise to make contact with his clients then i should not be expecting it from his staff either!!!! I have never delt with more ineffiecient people like the experience i had at Vodacom Blue Route Mall.

On 24 June 2016 at 16:25 I received an email from Vodacom advising me that me complaint has been forwarded to the store to be delt with and a few minutes later the store manager called me to appologies for my experience with all sorts of excuses about how i could have been promised a handset when only a few units gets allocated per store. After a lengthy discussion the manager was prepaired to honour this agreement and would call me back when he had sourced a handset and VR bundle. To my surprise i receiced a call from the manager the same afternoon with good news. He found a bundle at their warehouse and it would take about a week to get to him. He also said he would call me personally in approximately a week and a half to two weeks from the time of this call for me to collect the new bundle . Needless to say I am still waiting for his call!!!! I waited till now to see if they would ever call me back. I guess their policy is to first attend to your complaint to shut you up and then to ignore you and hope you would hopefully just vanish. The callcenter also never checked if this issue was resolved.
