Seriously don't choose Vodacom. They like to *****!!!

In August 2019, I phoned to cancel my account. They sent a email stating how much I would need to pay. As I was immigrating I didn't want to leave any accounts open, so I paid the full amount stipulated on the letter, had issues emailing back as the email on the cancelation letter didn't exist. Finally found a email address that worked. Left the country only to find out that they didn't cancel my account, which took a further month and a half to close. Today I received a letter stating that I'm being handed over for debt collection and that I will be blacklisted if I don't pay another amount within 21 working days. So in the month and a half that they were delaying canceling my account they still billed me for that on top of the cancelation fee of almost R4000. I'm sorry Vodacom but I'm not going to pay you that extra amount you have billed where I wasn't even in the country. NEVER TAKE OUT A VODACOM ACCOUNT!
