serious complaint

I went into Vodacom Pinelands today 28.8.21 to upgrade my contract. I told the consultant (extremely couldn't care less attitude) that I wanted to extend my same contract that ran out in May but with COVID and being 66 years I kept away away from queues. I told him that I wanted to pay the same amount as I did in May - just to continue for another 24 months. He did not explain properly and I was going to end up with a contract of R400 plus which, being a pensioner, I cannot afford. I told him that this is not what I wanted, he battled to explain FULLY what it entailed. He shouted at me and was extremely rude and I told him not to speak to me like that. I was extremely embarassed. The manager, Franscois, just sat on his overlarge bum and did nothing to reprimand him or intervene or help me. DO NOT USE THIS VODACOM, if you want a good Vodacom go to the Waterfront, they are (or were) helpful, polite and did what they could for you. LEAVE PINELANDS VODACOM ALONE - dreadful experience. I left and then went back to make sure that my contract had not been upgraded and he refused to serve me, I know that he was with another customer but it was a quick question, I even then said I would have to go to the police to report him as I wanted proof that this contract did not go through, only then did he say I would have had to have signed papers etc. It was aweful and I have never been treated like this before.

The manager (Franscois) tried to contact me at about 16.00 plus and he started saying something but quite frankly I was expecting him to be as rude as his consultant so I cut the call short. His manner is NOT condusive to managerial concepts and I would immediately remove this very unpleasant, rude and definitely not managerial, if at all, employable staff, including the consultant. A very very unpleasant experience and no apology would be accepted unless there was a "Last Written Warning" which will go on their files. I worked in Industrial Relations on a mine so I know what I am talking about. You need to get rid of this kind of staff for the good of your company.

Your staff in Vodacom Pinelands is not good enough, polite enough, educated enough and quite frankly should not be employed

As per my serious complaint of yesterday, I spoke to Franscois the manager, this morning 29.9.21 who apologised. I still find Vodacom's attitude towards their customers (who, afterall, are making money for them). I found out the name of the consultant which is Nabil. As I reiterated his manner was completely shockingly rude and he should by no means be interactive with the public.
