Sent my phone in for repairs and it came back worse!

I bought an iPhone 6 Plus from Vodacom when it was released a few years ago, the phone was part of a batch which had a faulty camera. It never really affected me but I was allowed a free camera replacement so in October I sent it into Vodacom to have the camera replaced. Not only did it take them over a month to complete a 1 hour job, but after collecting my phone from Vodacom I tried to set it up, got to the Touch ID section of the setup and it instantly said failed. I skipped it, rebooted my phone, updated the software, re installed the software and it still says failed. The screen had a tempered glass protector on which was installed by a professional before the phone was sent into repairs, when it came back it had a plastic cover which has been very poorely installed on the phone. I took my phone to a repair store and they said that if the Touch ID is failing then it is a hardware issue. Clearly the technicions at Vodacom have either ****** my screen and put on a **** one, or have damaged my phone and for some reason removed my tempered glass protecter which was completely unnecessary as the phone was going in for a back camera replacement. I called the advanced repair centre and they said that i must drive all the way to their store, wait 2 weeks for them to only assess the phone, then pay for my phone to be fixed as it is out of warranty. So i must not only take time off work and further inconvenience myself and go without a phone for at least 2 weeks, but i must pay for the repairs as well! Pure bull****!
