Send phone for repairs and got ******

I send my phone (sony z3 compact)in at vodacom repair shop in potchefstroom,my LCD screen was broken.I got my phone back ,the LCD screen was fixed but the charger port cover was broken after the repairs.They send my phone back to the repairs shop and my phone was ****** out of the shop from the desk.It was there fault to put my phone on the desk and not in a secure/save place.The owner now say that he will not replace my phone and that he will not take responsibility for my phone that was ******.He wants me to claim from my insurance for the phone that is ******.
