Selling faulty phones
Purchased x2 H50 Zoom cash at Vodacoms Meyersdal branch on Tuesday at 13h25 from Tasneem took them home and the one screen was flashing, immediately went back to the branch (14h25) where they sent me to their 'technical division' who wiped the phone and found no errors, proceeded to advise it needs to be sent to their main technical department and it would be a 2 - 3 day wait 4 at the most, i only recieved a sms yesterday (Thursday) to say it has been sent off - upon visiting branch today for a follow up a staff member asked me how they could help after me giving the run down on my query proceeded to look at me blankly and ask again how they are supposed to help. What is the consumer act even for if this is how one of the biggest companies namely Vodacom assist people? There is / was clearly a manufacturing fault, i was back within the hour, why not replace immediately? How can you have staff who are eager to assist in sales but their aftersales attitude is **********?
The below message sent to me privately after a phone call from a very sarcastic comolaints agent, who insisted tmits in their T&Cs listed on their website (all fair and well) but why do the agents not make u aware of this when selling the products or even maybe when returning the FAULTY phone you purchased an hour ago??? - who has now made me aware that the branch was incorrect to say '4 working day' as it it infact takes up to 14 working days, and my complaint will be handled internally???? NO vodacom my query has not been resolved!!!!!
