Selling a product and service when out of stock

Ref no. ***2
On the 21st Feb 2015 I got a call from the telesales centre Nazeerah. I ordered a Wi-Fi router with a 2g top up package. I was told it would be delivered within 3 days.

I phoned Vodacom customer service on the 27th Feb 2015 @ 11h42 and asked where the router is as it has not been delivered as yet. First I was told that its out of stock and then I asked when it went out of stock and was told there was no stock on the 21st Feb when the product was \sold"to me. When I asked how a product can be sold that is not in stock - I was told there was stock and now there is no stock.

This is totally unacceptable the call centre agent tried to fool me and when he was caught out he back-tracked.

I want to know when I can expect deliver or should I just cancel the entire process?

I'm disgusted in the service received!"""
