Security breach

So how is it that Vodacom can just do a simple swap over the phone without doing proper verifications. On the 28th of June I was a victim of a whatsapp ****. Someone did a sim swap then sent messages to my contacts via whatsapp asking them for money. People thought they were chatting with me meanwhile they talking to a *********. Unfortunately my one contact did in fact send the ewallet to the *******. Fortunately the majority of my contacts got weary and suspicious. All of this could have been avoided if Vodacom had preventative measures in place. Yes I blame Vodacom, why not do Sim swaps in-store only where's theres cameras and one has to bring along their Identification. Someone lost their hard earned money where as Vodacom could have prevented it. Worst part when I received the SMS saying is trying to do a sim swap on my phone, I tried calling your call center immediately but there was no option to speak to consultant. I had to drive to the nearest store but still I couldn't get an answer, I WANT answers and I want a recording of that phone call
